Kaarunya Illam is a Voluntary organization engage Since 2001 in the task of providing care, traning as rehabilitation to children and adults with Intellectual Disability through a Workshop and home.

Kaarunya Illam is located in Yercaud main road, Salem, Here we have fifty adult boys along with hostel Facilities, specially qualified staff's seven members and helpers 6 members, Correspondent and Principal. We have a different kind of adult boys hence such as a Autism, Intellectually Disability, Down Syndrome, Hyper Activity, Cerebral Palsy.

It is the goal of Kaarunya Illam to continually meet the growing needs of services to exceptional children and adults by mobilising resouces and implementing programmes to develop thier skills and bring out their potentialities.

Kaarunya Illam is constituted specially to provide the much needed service to these exceptional children and adults.

Our experience in this Workshop has thought as that sympathy and enthusiastic emotional support alone are not enough to make a difference in the likes of these dear ones. Training and education through programmes specially designed and individually planned for each of them with the expertise of an inter-disciplinary specialize can give them a new hope and meaning in their lives.
